Someone different from me

My experience with persons different from me mostly happens during our vacation in Indonesia. The people there, although do have some traits such as physical looks similar to us Filipinos, have a different culture and have difficulty speaking the english languange. Communicating with them is not that hard however if you use single words and use your hands to emphasize what you mean. People in Indonesia are more friendly it seems or maybe it is just because we are foreigners that they treat us like that.

Condition of our youth today

In my opinion, the most disturbing social problem facing the children are child labor. Children are being forced to work most times for the benefit of the adults. Children should not be forced to work as I think that they have to enjoy their childhood while they can. As a student of DLSU Manila, I can help them by donating to the Bantay Bata Donation Cans/Boxes or maybe participate some of my time for the outreach programs.

Processing Questions

What strikes me most are their actions for their country and their fellow countrymen. This is because it is hard standing up for others especially if they are doing the opposite of what you do, which maybe bringing shame to their country and themselves. We must appreciate our country and do our best to make it look good in other people's eyes. In being a good citizen of the country, I think that a maybe in the middle but more towards being a good citizen. My resolution would be to change my inadequancies and follow the simple rules of my country.

The Notebook Reaction Paper

The movie that I watched was the notebook. It was a story about a couple named Noah and Allie in which Noah reads their life story to Allie in hopes of making Allie remember since she has a disease which makes her forget almost everything. Noah's dedication to Allie shows that love can be very powerful especially if you really love the person. The movie shows that you should follow your heart so that you can make the right choice and be happy just like what Allie did. Her mother showed her the right way although her mother was against her loving Noah in the beginning of the story. Her mother, who also had her first love, did not choose to be with the man that she loved (although she also loves Allie's father) and regrets her decision a little bit. The movie also shows that to find true love, you must really take your time and not rush with it. Noah and Allie knew that they were meant for each other however it took 7 years for them to marry each other. The movie shows that love is very powerful that both Allie and Noah died together peacefully.

Significant Relationship

One of my significant relationships is with my twin brother. Being twins, we are almost together all of our life. It is fun having a twin since you will have a sibling your same age and can easily relate to you however, there are also things that are a disadvantage when you have a twin such as sharing things. We usually do lots of stuff together and almost share the same interests. Having a twin can really be fun.

One thing that we can do is to respect each other so that we will not get on each other's nerves and be able to enjoy each others company.

Most Difficult Decision

The most difficult decision that I made was when my father was going abroad (this was during my 4th year in highschool) and that if we were going to come with him. I really had a hard time making a decision because I wanted our family to be together but at the same time I wanted to stay here in the Philippines since this is were I grew up. In the end, we go with him because of the reason that there is no IS for college there.

My Goals

My goals in my life are to have a successful carreer and maybe have a family. What is important for me is to be happy with what I have and to make the best of it. To cope with stress, I usually sleep, eat something that I like, watch TV or play on my computer.

First Day of PERSEF2

I think that the first day of PERSEF2 was okay. It was a little fun and we were given a good introduction to what PERSEF2 might be. We were given the chance to mingle with some of the classmates that we don't know with one activity. The things that I would like to discuss on PERSEF2 would be more about knowing if you are making the right decisions for yourself and also some things about career orientation.
